I’m obsessed with this type … While most of the design in the hostess magazine Ageha is totally offensive, somehow the gaudy, sparkle-clad aesthetic actually works on the cover. It almost emanates light! I love how the type knocks out of the twinkling haze, creating a play between form and counter-form. With their white halos the characters look simultaneously cut out of a scrim and raised off the page … just plain pretty typography for my mental filing cabinet : )
